WORKING CONDITION: Very Good - Freshly set up from Old Style Guitar Shop in Los Angeles CA, this guitar is playing with an amazing feel! Really nice low action and clean notes and bending throughout the neck. In our opinion, an ideal playing guitar that really feels like a vintage 60's strat.

All of the electronics are fully functional. Tonally this guitar sounds amazing as well. Overall, everything is in excellent working condition.

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Good - This guitar is technically vintage being from the'80s... But really, it's the closest thing to a Pre-CBS Fender Strat without going into a 5-figure price range.

Built in 1988 at the famous Fullerton factory with the same tools that Fender used back in the 60s... This is more authentic than any other reissue or boutique builder out there. Add to that it has the name stamp on the neck of the young John Cruz who is now a famed Fender Masterbuilder and considered one of the best. There are a variety of scrapes and chips in the finish on the body as the guitar was played live. The back of the neck around the 5th fret has a few noticeable dings in the finish and the headstock have a few dings in the wood as well and there are some light divots on the frets in the usual heavy play areas.

The lacquer finish behind the tuners is chipped up, see photos. Otherwise, the black paint is clean, with a piano-like shine, and the guitar is expertly crafted and "solid".
